Grade 2 - WE ARE THE SEASONS
Overview: Through a combination of outdoor games, oral stories, activities, discussion and connected projects, students will explore Living Systems in a near-by forest. By coming to know a place and the many perspectives, students will combine Western science with Indigenous stories for a two-eyed seeing approach to learning. Students will develop a deep appreciation and understanding of the interconnections in the natural world.

Learning Outcomes:
Investigate the growth and development of plants and animals and consider their relationship to humans
Investigate Earth, its landforms, its bodies of water and its relationship to the Sun
Investigate properties of materials and relate them to a purpose.
