Bear Activity: May 22 to 28, 2015

It is bear season again in the Bow Valley. Black bears were reported in the following Zones over the past week: Harvie Heights West, Harvie Heights/ Benchlands, Georgetown, Bow River, Quarry/ Grassi Lake, Canmore Nordic Centre, Grassi Corridor, Canmore Golf Course, TSR South, Bow Flats, Deadmans Flats, Heart Creek, YMCA. Grizzly bear activity was reported in a few Zones on the North side of the valley: Harvie Heights West, Harvie Heights/ Benchlands and Silvertip. Always remember to carry bear spray, even while walking on the trails in Town. Make noise and let bears know you are coming.
