Bear activity continues to be very high in the valley right now. There have been 2 additional incidences involving bluff charges this week. All of these incidents have occurred on the south side of the valley near or along the Powerline between the reservoir and the Peaks of Grassi Subdividion. These interactions have occurred when people have surprised bears at relatively close distances while the bears have been feeding on buffaloberry. While these incidents have reportedly involved black bears, ther are also reports of at least one grizzly bear in this area aswell.
