Bear Activity: July 19 to July 25, 2013

The Canmore Nordic Centre Zone continues to be a very active area with multiple reports of black bears and grizzly bears on the trails. In addition to the Canmore Nordic Centre, black bear activity was reported in the Quarry-Grassi Lakes Zone, Harvie Heights/Benchlands Zone, Silvertip Zone, and TSR South Zone. Reports of grizzly bears were reported at the Canmore Nordic Centre Zone, Quarry-Grassi Lakes Zone, and TSR South Zone. Bear Activity: July 12 to July 18, 2013

The Canmore Nordic Centre Zone continues to be a very active area with multiple reports of black bears on the trails. In addition to the Nordic Centre, black bear activity was reported in the Quarry-Grassi Lakes Zone, YMCA Zone, and Cougar Ck/Eagle Terrace Zone. No reports of grizzly bears in the Bow Valley were received this week. Bear Activity: July 5 to July 11, 2013

Bear activity reports for the Bow Valley have slowly been increasing as more people get back to normal patterns of activity and start spending more time out hiking and biking. The Canmore Nordic Centre Zone continues to be a very active area with multiple reports of black bears on the trails. In addition to the Nordic Centre, black bear activity was reported in the Quarry-Grassi Lakes Zone, Three Sisters South Zone, Three Sisters Resort Zone, and the Gap Hill Zone. No reports of grizzly bears in the Bow Valley were received this week.

Bear Activity: June 28 to July 4, 2013

Bear activity reports for the Bow Valley have been few for this past week. There have been numerous reports, however, of black bears in the Canmore Nordic Centre Zone and a few reports of black bears in the Bow Valley Provincial Park Zone, Quarry-Grassi Lakes Zone, and Three Sisters South Zone. No reports of grizzly bears have been recieved.
